Purpose?

The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines a “blog” as “a website that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer.”
What this definition doesn’t tell us is the purpose of a blog. I’m not into wasting time (yours or mine), so I’m not going to post an entry in this blog that doesn’t have some type of purpose – whether it is to present a new idea or concept, or to share and review someone else’s ideas or comments, or to highlight better ways to communicate in the world of business… I’m into IDEAS – a good friend of mine once called me an “idea dynamo” – and that’s what I hope you’ll find here: Ideas to inspire you and help you communicate with purpose.

Speaking of inspiration, one of the most inspiring and creative people I know is Barbara Winter, author of Making a Living Without a Job – the book that inspired me to go out on my own in the business world. (Barbara and I haven’t actually met in person yet, but I’ve been reading her books and her Winning Ways newsletter for almost 15 years!) Barbara started her Joyfully Jobless Blog within the past few weeks, too.  So, I take this coincidence as a good sign that it’s the right time to move forward with this blogging journey. Let me know what you think – and thanks for reading!

Enjoy the week!

Kathy
